The sheriff and Robin Hood

One day Robin was walking down a road when the sheriff came walking the other direction. Robin, who was disguised as a butcher, fooled the sheriff. He invited the sheriff to lunch.

As they were walking toward Sherwood forest the sheriff said, “We should turn back, Robin Hood lives here”.

Robin said, “I fear Robin Hood no more than myself”.

So they continued into the forest.  When they came to the place where Robin and his band of Merry Men lived, they sat down, played games, joked, and at last had an archery tournament. When it was Robin’s turn to shoot, he got all bullseyes.

That was when the sheriff recognized him. “Robin Hood!”.

“Yes,” said Robin Hood, “I am Robin Hood, give me your gold.”

The sheriff shakily gave Robin Hood his gold. The sheriff gets on his horse and rides away. On his way to his castle, he thinks of a plan to get rid of Robin Hood. The next day the sheriff found someone who would kill Robin Hood. Robin Hood meets up with the killer one day and they have a fight. Robin Hood wins and recruits the looser to his band.
